COURSE
This is a M.Sc. program in Architecture (awarding the title of “Architect”, as recognized at European level) focused on the synergies between the sustainability of the built environment transformations (as defined by the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development) and the quality of the landscape, interpreted as a spatial, environmental, social and cultural concept.
Rapidly changing social and cultural conditions around the world require that future professional designers will be able to respond with new concepts, forms and methods in realizing projects.
The program is therefore committed to provide advanced tools for an innovative design, conscious about ecology, techniques of construction, new digital tools, contemporary urbanism, history of ideas.
In the design studios students are pushed to explore and expand their own creativity while learning the necessary conceptual, visual and technical skills to properly develop the projects.
Courses in history and theory, technology, ecology, botany, geology, construction, project appraisal and visual and digital media are linked with the studios.
Advanced and speculative research is planned in the final year, when students may pursue their own independently conceived path towards the final thesis.
The Master is internationally distinguished and runs, in POLIMI Piacenza Campus, an intense series of events, lectures and workshop, involving International practitioners and scholars.
